Buck Rogers

can't stop thinking about Frazetta.
here's my process.
1.scanned in blue pencils 2.inked w/FW and a Raphael 3 brush, covered the torso and face of the dude coming through the circle to give it more depth, the original illustration had the whole monster in the circle all in blk except for the bttm left leg.  3. scanned in the inks 4. finally colored with photoshop.

joy

It seems as if I love the blue pencil, I'll come out & say it "I do love the blue pencil." There, now I cleared step 1.
I sketched her out w/the blue pencil & used photoshop for the other colors.

Ohh, so thirsty

I sketched her out with a blue pencil then inked her with a brush, scanned in & finally colored her digitally. Tried line hold for the first time on this illustration.

white rays

She was sketched with a blue pencil then digitally colored. This is a brush I can see myself using frequently in photoshop.
